Equipment Site Visits and Assessments
We diagnose first. A THG field tech comes out, runs the mechanical, thermal and electrical checks, walks the line for OSHA exposure, and leaves you with a written assessment: the root cause, not just the symptoms. It is a report you can hand to your insurer, your boss or the next crew.

How a Site Visit Runs
1. You call, we scope it
Tell us what the line is doing and what you have already tried. We work out what needs to be looked at and who needs to be on site.
2. A field tech comes out
One to three days on site, depending on the size of the line and how many systems are in scope.
3. We diagnose before we quote
Mechanical, thermal, electrical and safety passes over the equipment while it runs, not just while it sits cold.
4. You get it in writing
Root cause, photographs and a prioritized fix list, not a verbal call from the parking lot.
5. Then we quote the fix
Parts, repair or rebuild scope, priced from what we actually found. The report is yours either way.
Scope of Work
- Mechanical inspection: drives, chains, belts, bearings and conveyance checked for wear, alignment and tracking
- Thermal and bake profiling: mole runs recorded across each zone, so you see the real bake curve rather than one thermocouple’s reading
- Electrical and controls check: panels, wiring, sensors and setpoints verified against how the line is actually run
- Safety review: guarding, lockout/tagout points, light curtains and walkways reviewed against current OSHA requirements
- Combustion and gas train: ignitors, flex hoses, gas lines and burner behavior inspected under load
- A written assessment: findings, photos and a prioritized fix list
Why THG
We diagnose first
Nobody quotes you a rebuild before we know what is actually wrong.
We build this equipment
THG has built industrial baking systems for decades, so the tech assessing your oven knows how it was supposed to behave when it left the shop floor.
You keep the report
The assessment is a document, not a sales call. Take the fix to us or to somebody else. See the HEB San Antonio case study.

Common questions
How long does a site visit take?
Typically one to three days on site, depending on the size of the line and how many systems are in scope. We tell you what to expect before we come out.
Do you assess equipment you did not build?
Yes. Our HEB San Antonio assessment was on a Baker Thermal hearth-plate oven, not a Henry Group oven.
Do you do OSHA assessments?
We review guarding, lockout/tagout points, light curtains and walkways against OSHA requirements as part of the visit, and the findings go in the written report. THG is not an OSHA inspection body; this is an engineering review you can act on.
What do I get at the end?
A written assessment: what we found, the root cause, photographs and a prioritized list of fixes.
Am I obligated to have you do the repair?
No. We quote the fix from what we found, but the report is yours, and plenty of plants use it to scope the work internally.
