Heavy Equipment Rigging and Installation

Industrial machinery installs and relocations, from the rigging plan and permits through transport, set and level, and commissioning. A site assessment establishes the access, equipment and sequence the move needs.

Services for Heavy Equipment

How We Run a Job

Rigging is a plan, not a crane

We walk the plant and measure the door, the aisle, the floor load and the ceiling, then write the rigging plan. The crane arrives to execute a plan that already exists.

Set and level to a tolerance

Big, heavy and it has to land in exactly the right spot. That is the job, and it is what THG has done since 1976.

Legacy parts from our own shop

When something has to be fabricated or a legacy part no longer exists, THG makes it in its own shop.

Common questions

What counts as heavy equipment?

Industrial machinery, heavy thermal and process equipment, and drive and conveyance assemblies. We assess dimensions, weight, access and site conditions before defining the move.

Do you pull the permits for a move?

Yes. Decommission, rigging plan, permits, transport, re-install and commissioning: one crew owns the whole move.

Do you fabricate parts for legacy machinery?

Yes. Heavy equipment is one of the three industries our stocked catalog covers, and obsolete parts are made in our own shop.

Do you do automation and controls work on heavy equipment?

Not currently. For heavy equipment THG covers installation, relocation, site visits and assessments, repairs and parts, emergency service, and custom fabrication and laser cutting.
